Workforce Readiness Certificate Program

The purpose of this program is to provide recognition and endorsement of those students who have successfully met the criteria required to earn a “Workforce Readiness” Certificate. It is anticipated this certificate will be valued as an endorsement by the school acknowledging that the individual is capable and prepared to successfully enter college and the workplace.
Why should students care about earning the “Workforce Readiness Program” certification?
 Businesses will recognize the certificate as an endorsement by Pike County Schools that the student is ready to successfully enter the workforce.
 Certificate will give students a “head start” in the market place. It will serve as a “stamp of approval” when the student is applying to a college or a job.

Data Collection
Data will be collected on students throughout the year and award certificates will be given based on this data. The program is designed to evaluate both quantitative and qualitative criteria, including attendance, disciplinary record, and soft skills. Every student is eligible for this program, and every student is capable of achieving a certificate, as the power to achieve lies within their hands.

Your Part
